Travel Nurse Licensure and Compliance

A Seamless Compliance Process

Before you hit the road as a travel nurse, you need to ensure that you meet all of your facilities compliance requirements. That’s where we come in. Our credentialing team simplifies the process and provides support every step of the way.

Getting Started

There are a few basic qualifications to become a travel nurse. Here’s what you need to get started.

RN Degree

At minimum, you need to hold an Associate of Science in Nursing degree.

Active Nursing License

A valid RN license in the state you’ll be working in is required. If you’re in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state, you can work in other compact states without needing additional licenses making travel even easier.

One Year of Experience

Most travel nursing positions require at least one year of recent clinical experience. Your recruiter will let you know if there are additional experience requirements based on the assignment you're applying for.

Compliance Made Easy

Navigating compliance requirements can be complex. Your dedicated credentialing specialist makes this process smooth and efficient, ensuring all necessary documents are obtained and submitted promptly.

Licensing

You may need to apply for a new state license, convert your current license if you live in a compact state, or start the license renewal process. In many cases, we’ll be able to expedite this process for you to help avoid any contract delays or cancellations.

Certifications

We’ll help you figure out what certifications are required for your assignment. If you need additional certifications, your credentialing specialist has resources to help you get those quickly and conveniently.

Current Medical Records

You’ll need to provide up-to-date health records in addition to completing a background check and drug screen. The specific documentation required typically depends on the facility you’ll be working at. Our team will work with you to schedule any medical services and keep you assignment-ready.

Reimbursements

We cover many of the licensure and credentialing expenses to make staying compliant simple and affordable. Talk with your credentialing specialist for specifics on which certifications are eligible for reimbursement.
